CTS Container Trucking Service GmbH was founded in January 1, 1976 in Offenbach/Main. In the establishment phase, our business consisted exclusively of transporting ocean
freight containers for a well-known forwarding agency.
Our client was one of the first transport companies dealing with the transport of export/import containers via inland shipping routes on the Rhein river to and from Benelux
ports providing a combined ?inland-shipping / Trucking? transport service.
Due to the increase in container transport, our truck fleet which numbered 3 originally, expanded to 28 in 1980.
In mid-1980, from our business of container transport, we added a heavy and special transport division and purchased other special flatbed trucks.
The purchase of cargo transport concessions in 1981 allowed us to engage in national and international transport with our own fleet.
In 1982, we built a service garage on the premises of our Gustavsburg branch, initially for servicing our own fleet. However, in 1990, we became an authorized auto/truck
repair facility. Since then, we have added the service of other vehicles as well.
In March 1988, the owners of CTS founded GS Kranservice GmbH, which is registered in Gustavsburg. Currently it has 12 crane trucks in service, including a crane with a 200
metric ton capacity.
The founding of this business affords both companies to facilitate transportation, installation and heavy-lifting services.
